Setting up the Dining Room

The dining room is the larger room we made by removing a wall and installing a beam.
In 1993 we bought antique lights at a garage sale. They are ethnic, painted and similar but not exactly alike. There are also 2 wall sconces to match. They were very dirty and I scrubbed them and bought lights for them and then we put round medalians on the ceiling after we removed the light fixtures and hung these two fixtures. They are very nice, but we need to hang them a little lower.
I have not done anything with the sconces but I want to hang them on the sides where the beam support is on each wall.
There are french doors on the north and again on the south. Then there is a doorway into the south kitchen and a doorway into the north kitchen. There are 2 windows on the west wall. The east wall has a door into the north hall and a door into the south wall. Between these doors are the doors into the north closet and south closet going under the stairs.
There is almost no wall space in this room.
In front of the windows I have put a buffet that was in the house when we bought it. It is not antique, but is nice storage. It had been painted brown at some time. I primed it, painted it antique white and then sponge painted around the edges. Then using one stroke painting techniques, I painted lavender roses over the top and on the ends and the doors. It looks very nice and is a nice place for serving desserts.
A tea cart was purchased in Colorado Springs in 2005 and it holds an english tea tray and silver tea set.
The table and chairs were purchased in Colorado Springs in 2006 . It is on a nice large rug also purchased there.
My niece Tara gave me a quilted table runner for christmas. It has tea pots and cups on it. I plan to hang it on a shelf that has a quilt rod hanger under it. Haven't gotten it hung yet but I think it will be very nice in the room.
