Quilt Study Events

Quilt Study events
Quilts in Common Exhibition is a showing of the masterpieces of the collection to include antique and contemporary quilts from around the world until 8-31-2008.
Times are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday; 1-4:30 p.m. Sunday.
There is a charge for admission.
The International Quilt Study Center and Museum is located at 33rd and Holdrege. Check out their web site ate http://www.quiltstudy.org/
Also showing during the same time is a quilt exhibition, by contemporary artist Nancy Crow, with vibrant colors and incredible design.
The second Saturday, 7-12-2008 from 10 a.m. - noon is free admission to the center.
Tuesday Talk 7-15-2008 is a talk on various quilt topics. Regular admission applys.
Quilt Story time for ages 5-8 is 7-19-2008. Regular admission applys.

If you are coming to Lincoln to spend time at the quilt museum, the Hawley Bed & Breakfast is not far from the museum. The two living rooms on first floor have antique quilts hanging on the walls. The Quilt Study Program dated both quilts as being made between 1890 and 1910. http://www.hawleybb.com/

John and Peggy have been married 46 years. John semi retired January 2007 and is fully retired in the summer of 2008. Peggy works full time at the University of Nebraska. We have 2 children Robert and Leeza. We also have 8 grandchildren. All live in Lincoln and we enjoy having them close. The Hawley Bed & Breakfast was open for 6 years. Now the Hawley House is in an 1890's Victorian built as two town homes that has been opened into one home and is a local historical landmark. We will be moving into the home in 2011 from across the street. We have 3 dogs Miko (12), Snoopy (10) & Sophie (8).
