North Living Room

The north living room had the damaged floor that we didn't want to put enough work into it in order to refinish. So we decided that when we worked on this room, we would carpet it.
I finished all the holes in the walls and painted the ceiling white, walls antique white and woodwork soft white. The woodwork had been painted grey, so it doesn't even look like the same room. The fireplace is like the one in the other living room, but someone in a past life had taken the tile from the fireplace and put it back on with concrete. So I haven't decided what to do with the fireplace yet.
I bought a large mirror and hung it above the fireplace.
John and I hung a ceiling fan with light in place of a central ceiling light.
Curtains were made for the windows and hung.
It was hard picking out carpet for this room. I brought samples home 3 times and finally found one I thought I could live with, not love, but live with. Actually over time it has grown on me and I do like it. I had the best carpet pad put under it so it is nice an cushy.
Cable was installed in this room with a TV with DVD player. There is also high speed internet hookup in the room.
It is a comfy room to watch TV, read or just hang out. The french doors to the living room are usually open and the french doors to the library are usually open.
